Meet Ellie Davis! Ellie is many things: a Registered Nurse, VIVA Member and our 2023 Education Teacher Trainer Scholarship Winner. She first considered enrolling back in 2017. Now with 450+ classes under her belt, Ellie’s turned her passion for pilates into a career move.

WE SAT DOWN WITH ELLIE TO HEAR ABOUT HER EXPERIENCE

What was your experience of the VIVA Education Course?

My experience training with Viva to become a Pilates Reformer, and Matwork instructor was incredible. I was fortunate to receive the VIVA Education scholarship this year, and this meant I could complete my training a lot sooner than I had planned. Completing both certifications really allowed me to consolidate my skills, and to fully understand the content covered.

The VIVA manuals are great and super informative – I still continue to refer back to mine for inspiration and revision all time.

The 4 day course was perfect, giving students enough time to understand the content, and feel confident teaching in front of others.

The post course requirements allowed me to cement my knowledge and gave me the opportunity to broaden and further my education.

What would you say to someone considering VIVA Education Course?

The training was in-depth, and the mixture of face to face training, written exams, observational and practical worksheets, as well as a video submission, really gave me a comprehensive overview of the Pilates repertoire.

If you are looking for a course that covers foundational exercises, exercise modifications, as well as how to structure a class, and how to feel confident as an instructor, than I would highly recommend the VIVA Education Level 1 Courses.

What’s the next step for you, now you’re qualified? 

I’ve begun teaching Reformer Pilates classes at both VIVA Everton Hills and Clayfield and plan on teaching Matwork throughout the mid- 2024 too.

I’d also like to continue and further my Education with the VIVA Pre and Post Partum Qualifications and complete the Level 2/3 Advanced Training in the future as well.
VIVA Education has definitely been the catalyst for a new and exciting chapter for me.
